  1. Muskoka family focus is a great organization that helps kids and families. Without this organization, my kids probably wouldn’t have the skills they have, wouldn’t have the friends that they have, they wouldn’t have the social skills and manners that they have. Also without this organization I would be an isolated, lonely, stay at home mom.i

  2. From outside of Muskoka but with a continued interest in Parry Sound, my vote goes to the Salvation Army, always available to help those in need with an excellent record of sharing the resources available to them in the most efficient and effective ways.

  3. My vote goes to the Muskoka Chaplaincy Association. It is a non-denominational, volunteer not-for-profit organization providing spiritual care to patients, family and staff in both Huntsville and Bracebridge hospital sites of the Muskoka Algonquin Health Care, in the community, long term care residences and retirement homes throughout Muskoka. MCA was incorporated in 2006 and received charitable status in 2007. MCA endorses the belief that spirituality helps people maintain health and cope with illnesses, traumas, losses, and life transitions by integrating mind, body and spirit.

  4. Hi, My vote is for the Huntsville Community Choir. We provide bursaries for up and coming music students who wish to have a career in music and exhibit considerable talent. We have supported people who are into several different types of music including one operatic soprano who is now busy making a name for herself. She started out by singing with the choir as a teenager along with her brother.

  5. My vote goes to Muskoka Chaplaincy Association who provide and invaluable service to the community. Through fund raising efforts they are currently able to provide Spiritual Care for patients, and/or the patients families and/or staff. Supporting others in what gives them strength and hope in times of distress, in the hospital, is an important part of the healing process. Although funded for only one day a week at each hospital (Bracebridge and Huntsville), trained Volunteer Chaplains also provide on call and some weekly support.

  6. I cast my vote for the Muskoka Chaplaincy Association. It has a wide mandate which allows it to bring in educational and broad interest resources that can strengthen the volunteer community and a professional one. The recent visit of Dr. Megory Anderson CEO and founder of Sacred Dying Foundation from San Francisco is a perfect example.

  7. My votes goes to Hospice Huntsville who strive to provide Free End of Life Care to all citizens and a support for their families in Huntsville and surrounding communities.
