____________YOU CAN___________

By Bruce Liddle:

You can write a poem to-day.

Just sit down and do it.

Write down the words you want to say.

Don’t despair or quit!

You can mend a heart somewhere.

Just set your mind and do it.

There may be someone that you care.

Don’t despair, commit!

You can hear the angels sing.

Just listen and take note.

Their music takes away the sting.

Don’t despair, emote!

You can make your day quite nice.

Just give and give and give.

Never care about the price.

Don’t despair, just live!

Bruce Liddle retired in 95, joined a writer’s group to write memoirs for his children, is a writer of poetry from memoirs, and resident of Huntsville for 38 years.
